I have disabled hotlinking to request.php for downloads. You must use links with download.php?view.xxx now. [Full disclosure: this is to drive ad views] To even things out a bit, I have removed the banner ad at the top of the page. The only banner ad that will be visible will be on the download view pages. I don't really like ads, but sadly, they are necessary. If anyone has issues with this please let me know, and I'll try to work something out with you.

Update: Fixed a slight misconfiguration. I should seriously test things every once in a while. :)
Update2: Re-added the banner at the top. I guess it's not really that annoying. It's kind of out of the way anyway.

I would like to request that anyone with a hosted project that has not yet done so (even if I'm only hosting your site), please go and register on the forum. I may need to have a discussion with all of you soon, and it would be very convenient to do so on the forum. Please send me a PM (achtung) when you have registered, as I will be adding you to a special group.

ALL SFTP/FTP/SSH PASSWORDS HAVE BEEN RESET!

Due to a possible breach of DreamHost's databases, all passwords have been reset (by dreamhost) as a precautionary measure. You may be able to access it now, but it will be reset the next time cron runs. This means that all accounts hosted by fsmods will need to be given new passwords. Here's what I need all of you to do:

1.) Send me an e-mail at achtung@nukelol.com with the subject "FSMods Account Password For project_name_here"
2.) Tell me what account it is for (I have e-mail addresses to reference for most accounts, I will make sure you are who you say you are.)
3.) Tell me if you want a specific password (totally optional).
3.) I will reply to you with the new password.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is out of my hands.

If anyone has a file larger than PHP can handle here on fsmods, please contact me and I will give you access to a temporary FTP account to get your file up.

I understand that quite a few files may be showing up as missing. It turns out that during the recent maintenance, I managed to eliminate one of the file directories (oops!). Due to my extremely spotty upstream connection, I'll have to dump the files on a flash drive and restore them from another connection tomorrow. I'll make another news post when they're back.

THE ISSUE IS NOW RESOLVED

I'm going to be doing some work over the next few days. In that time the forum will not be linked to e107, but is still available at this location. I intend to merge this forum with another at a new location. The forum will most likely not be linked to fsmods from this point forward.

EDIT: I should really start checking links I post.

As the title says. You should now be able to click the link to your left and login to the forum. If your passwords are mismatched, please match them.

It is very clear that the e107/SMF bridge is broken. I'll look into fixing it tomorrow. Logins should be automatic then.

I'm cleaning up and trying to harden the site a bit. Forums will be back up in the next day or so. Hopefully the steps I actually bother taking this time around will prevent this again in the future.

I also plan to do some behind the scenes reorganizing to actually get the volition watch archives up within the next few weeks. Isn't summer break wonderful?
